Why am I unmotivated? How to get back your desire and motivation


Recently been thinking alot about motivation and why I find it tough to find motivations at times. Agree with alot of the points made in this video:

1) Kids seemingly disregard fear and have no idea how much "rejection/pain" is attached to their aim (requests to adults) and they succeed
2) As we grow older, our experiences increases. We tend to attach emotions and feelings to experiences. If those feelings of pain outweigh our desires we turn away from doing things we are supposed to do.
3) Our core set of beliefs about ourselves must be so strong to stand firm despite what happens to us. The mindset will allow us to triumph above all. e.g. edison failed alot of times to make a light bulb, but he did not let what people think of him affect his aim.
4) THE PAST DOES NOT EQUAL TO FUTURE. we should not attach our future on our past associations.
5) To overcome it, its not too difficult to get excited about our goals again,however to move forward they need to outweigh our perceived "pains/failure"


I believe that All things will work for (with) the good to those who Love Him. 

Romans 8:28


There is always something good about a situation, no matter how hard or difficult it seems to be. I will strive on.

Was reading another blog post about thinking positively in biblical terms:
Philippians 4:8 gives us a clear direction in how we can think positively:

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”.


So, so true.
