Okay. back to main topic of discussion for today: -=CHOICES IN LIFE=-
It seems we have a luxury of choices to choose whatever we want to do in life.. we make choices all in all I believe at the end of the day so because we all want to be happy. Yet, sometimes when we are faced with tough choices in life, we flinch badly, especially when we know its a decision GOD wants us not to take (BUT we just learn the hard way sometimes) D:
The christian life seems full of restrictions and alot of "do NOTS". God has in fact given us the freedom of choice (thank God if not we are robots). WE CAN MAKE THE CHOICES ALL WE WANT, BUT YET NOT ALL IS BENEFICIAL. Some may say we have alot of choices but in fact none. Because we cant simply choose some things in life... it seems fixed for us. Some choices affect us for life:
Our GOD is not a random God and certainly doesn't leave things to randomness. Don't agree with me? Chew on these points:
1) God gave us a freedom of freewill... but yet we couldn't choose to be born in this specific time and place. Is that a choice of us? Why is it I'm born in this specific time? To enjoy youtube/tudou/technology savvy age?(So figure He has a plan for U?)
2) We can choose who to marry yet we can't choose our parents, brothers and sisters.
3) We can choose our brands of clothes, accessories but can't choose the body that God has given us? (Figured that zhenwei can only be zhenwei, and can't copy someone else no mater how hard I try, and yes only YOU can be YOURSELF)
4) We can choose what to eat... But we can't choose not to eat. WOOT! Jap food rocks. XP
... and the list can go on. What am I driving at? Look at the red words: God did so we could know and seek Him because...
24"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' Acts 17:24-28
We realise sometimes in life's toughest choices we feel helpless WE DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! Yet. we are to make the tough choices. But God has too, given us a choice, to SEEK HIM especially when we are so helpless and don't know what choice to make. He told us:"
Come to me all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
I'm Sure most of us have heard of a catchy phrase: WWJD (what would Jesus DO?)
Will you now choose Jesus in your choices?? He didn't promise that we as christians will live a trouble free and prosperous life. Instead He promised PEACE at heart and the assurance that He will be with us and never forsake us.. That is the answer from God each time I feel sooo down or so forever challenged in life's struggles.
I welcome you guys to share your opinions in comments section: I do reallie want to hear your struggles too. Remember, we are not alone in this. God is, he holds the plans. We are, as a body in Christ. Let us be encouraged by God's assurance... because the more I look at my life, the more I want to believe God is with us.

-=BEARING THE FRUIT IN CHRIST=-
verses: Jesus spoke the parable of the great vine
John 15
The Vine and the Branches
1"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. 8This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Some background knowledge to the verse(about the vine and the vinedresser/gardener):
- the great vine is a plant that bears fruit only on new branches each year, so it needs to be constantly pruned (needs to cut off the old branches as they do not bear fruit anymore) and notice Jesus calls himself the vine, Father God the vinedresser. And us the branches in the vine.
- if you do not prune the vine, it grows berserk: and waste its nutrients as those old branch will not bear fruit. so the branches needs constant and careful pruning. pruning can remove the diseased parts of the vine too. notice the verse says that pruning the branch that does not bear fruit causes the new branch to bear MORE fruit.
- pruning allows the nutrients to focus on the new branches and bear more fruit.
We are called out as Christians by God's grace... and we are called to bear the fruit as we are the branches connected to JESUS (the vine), and the Father prunes us. This fruit is an outward behaviour that comes inside out of christians. BUT we must have the RIGHT MINDSET and ATTITUDE. Do we consider ourselves or want others to think we are "holy" so we pursue it so people may see the "fruit" in us??
The true attitude is OBEDIENCE.
For if we abide by God, and be in him, the so called "fruit" is a result of the obedience. AND not just a set of behaviours the christian should have. So we should set our pursuit of the "fruit" right. The focus is not the fruit but ABIDING in obedience and living in God (allowing ourselves to be pruned).Verse: No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. The condition is we remain in Jesus..
Are we resisting to be pruned? Are we a branch not bearing much fruit in the vine? Are we ready to endure the pain of being pruned? This is a choice again... to choose GOD.
Hope this post will help you. I congratulate you on completing reading this post. Do share your ideas and comment if you feel burdened. Or anything I can pray for u.
